We are always looking for the following, general rule is that enthusiasm for our Pledge and Code are really important, they are front and centre to our business and service. We’re here for our client members. If you are fed up with highly politicised work environments and value Equality of opportunity, diversity of opinion and inclusivity for all, you’ll fit in fine. We are a digital business and our people are based in London and North East England, as such there is no office and much of the work will be at home over Zoom or phone etc. It can be lonely, although as we grow we will be organising meet ups etc. But as such, maturity, the ability to self motivate and work on your own is important. The upside is you could live anywhere.

Engagement will either be direct with the Client or through us.

You should have generalist HR experience in a small business environment (2000 workers or under). Strong employment law knowledge along with excellent client management and communication skills.

Typically this sort of work involves: disciplinary, grievance, policy implementation, sickness management, recruitment, statutory consultation, redundancy and other process management.

You should have experience of managing operations in a service business, the ability to work remotely and be self motivated and a passion for improving the working environment for people across the country by helping their employers understand their obligations. Our Operations are varied and it is very much an ‘all hands on deck’ situation where one minute you could be briefing an Employment Lawyer another processing invoices and membership. Some technical competency is desirable especially around WordPress and basic online Video Production skills would be nice. Experience with Salesforce or a similar CMS is quite important in this role. You’ll be working closely with the Operations Director and deputising at points.

Admin (full/part time – home based or Hexham, Northumberland)

Excellent organisational skills to help manage a very busy virtual environment. You can be based from home or, if local to Hexham in an office, when we get one! Familiarity with the Google Workspace suite and general day to day business operations are essential. We run an all hands on deck methodology and everyone is valued. Good sense of humour essential!

Tech Stack Manager (full/part time)

Familiarity with WordPress, Salesforce, Email etc. You’ll have noticed that our website needs work, that’s because the Ops Director built it. We are a digital business selling an actual service and as such there is a fair amount of manual processing that could be digitised.
